Votes On Sale For N300k, N350k As APC Guber Primary Holds In Osun

The shadow election to determine the gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress in Osun state held today.

Sources claim the exercise held in very controversial circumstances.

A massive allegation of vote buying decorates the process.

This development comes after Governor Abubarkar Yari, chairman of the committee in charge of the shadow election abruptly resigned based on issues of integrity.

He was said to have opted out than allow conducts that would soil his name transpire taint the process.

Senator Omo Agege assumed the position of acting chairman as the committee adopted the highly contentious option of direct voting.

14 out of the seventeen aspirants jostling to become party candidate rejected the voting method, but the committee insisted on the process said to favour emergence of Governor Rauf Aregbesola’s choice Gobeya Oyetola as the candidate.

Checks by societynow.ng revealed that the process is currently laced with allegations of massive vote buying.

Fingered in the move are agents of gubernatorial aspirant Lasun Yusuf (Deputy speaker of the FEDERAL House of Representatives) and Gboyega Oyetola (chief of staff and choice of Gov Argegbesola).Yusuf Lasun

Information available has it that N300,000 and N300,000 are being offered to gain electoral advantage per ward.

The two aspirants are alleged to be enmeshed in a war of who can out buy the other in the process that has co-opted all party members as ”voters”

Obviously seeing the handwriting of what to come on the wall, another aspirant Moshood Adeoti (Secretary to the Osun state government) had stepped down from the race citing a flawed process.
