Video: Untold Story As Dapo Abiodun Parties At Bimbo Ashiru’s Birthday Bash

December 26, 2021- Otunba Bimbo Ashiru, the well-known player in High Society and a popular face in the politics of Ogun State was a year older.

SocietyNow.Ng learned that as his usual tradition, the former two-term commissioner in Ogun state – for Commerce and Industry between 2011 to 2018 – hosted a high profile party at his Lagos residence to signpost the day which also stands for another anniversary of his marriage with lovable wife, Kemi.

Details available have it that Governor Dapo Abiodun was one of the guests at the event.

Ovation Publisher – and owner of online Newspaper, TheBoss -, Dele Momodu was also a guest at the two-in-one event that tells Otunba’s Ashiru’s growing influence in politics.

Further checks by SocietyNow.Ng revealed that though Governor Abiodun’s attendance was purely social, it has a strong political undertone.

“It is meant to send a huge message that the Governor still retains the confidence of some of the major forces that helped him to power in the face of talks his passionate adversary former Governor (Ibikunle) Amosun is winning them over” SocietyNow.Ng gathered.

Bimbo Ashiru, along with the likes of former Governors Gbenga Daniel and Aremo Olusegun Osoba, Ex Ogun House of Assembly speaker Muyiwa Oladipo and multiple times gubernatorial candidate Gboyega Nasir Isiaka as well as Lagos Senator Solomon Adeola better known as “Yayi” helped Dapo Abiodun to power.

Ashiru who turned 58 on December 26, 2021, served as a two-term commissioner in Ogun State in the administration of Amosun.

However, in keeping faith with his ideals as a party man (member of the All Progressives Congress), he backed Abiodun’s emergence as the Governor of Ogun state in 2019 against a ferocious push by Amosun for the candidate of another party – Adekunle Akinlade of All People’s Movement (APM) – as a successor.

Though he was massively touted as the perfect candidate for the position of Secretary to the State Government of Ogun State (SSG), based on his experience and qualification when Governor Abiodun wanted to form his cabinet, Ashiru who left the banking industry as a Director was given an appointment as representative of the state on the Board of Directors of Odu’a Investment Company Limited.

Even though the development did not go down well with many of his supporters and backers against the background of his contribution to bringing the government to power, Ashiru has continued to keep fate with the party and Abiodun administration since then till now those in the know insist.
