The handlers of Governor Hope Uzodinma have made a telling claim.
They have declared that Uzodoinma is the first sitting Governor to win an election in the Government House.
The declaration made on Sunday, November 12, 2023, – along with the image of the results – reads..
“For the very first time since the return of democracy in Imo state, never had a seating Governor won an election at the government house. However, Governor Hope Uzodimma happened to be the first ever governor to break that barrier”
Uzodinma is the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Saturday, November 11, 2023, Imo gubernatorial election.
Checks revealed the results from the two polling units in the Imo state Government house to be “APC – 35 votes, PDP – 2 Votes and Labour Party – 1 and APC – 46 votes, PDP -3 and Labour Party – 3.
About 20 political parties are contesting the election.
The claim that Uzodinma, in a pole position to retain his seat in Saturday’s election, is the first sitting Governor to win an election in the Imo state government is still subject to checks.
