Untold Story Behind Talks Ambode Will Become Minister

It is true, by some form of machination the outgoing Governor of Lagos State Akinwunmi Ambode has been edged into the grace of President Muhammadu Buhari.

Multiple sources, however, insist that it is overreaching to claim that Ambode is penciled down to become a Minister.

‘’That’s purely political talk and part of attempts at fending off post office attacks’’ societynow.ng learned.

Based on the reasons – and manner – he lost out in the bid to secure a second term ticket in office, it is believed that Ambode faces persecution once he leaves the office.

Insiders disclosed that though it is true that some states are sure to get two ministers Lagos may not fall into that particular category.

‘’The Vice President is from Lagos state, Fashola (Babatunde) looks all set to retain his position and Femi Gbajabiamila is also looking set to either become the Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives or a major principal officer and you expect another ministerial slot to be conceded to Lagos state ‘’ a source pointed.

Societynow.ng learned that while the chance of Lagos getting additional ministerial slot looks far- fetched, even if it does happen Ambode looks very unlikely to be the beneficiary of that opportunity.

‘’There is intense trouble in the ruling All Progressives Congress especially in Lagos state and the main forces at play are staking for the long term. Ambode’s current good fortune with Buhari is just part of a play because he is not part of the real players…the governor does not enjoy the confidence of factions squaring up.’’ Societynow.ng learned.
