Trouble For Gov Rauf Aregbesola As Iyiola Omisore Gains More Ground By Reconciling With Ooni Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Secure “Arrangement” With Aggrieved Isiaka Adeleke’s Camp

The political turbulence buffeting the hold of outgoing Governor, Rauf Aregbesola on the politics of Osun state is about to become more aggressive.

Main foe, Iyiola Omisore is rapidly gaining ground in a bounce back move.

Aregbesola defeated Omisore to secure a second term in a highly tensed political contest that witnessed dramatic twists and turns.

Two of the major developments that gifted Aregbesola victory was the defection of major players Isiaka Adeleke and Olagunsoye Oyinlola from Omisore’s party (PDP) to his sides.

Ironically the situation is now reversed.

Though Isiaka Adeleke is now late, his family and followers aggrieved at the manner of his death are working hard against Aregbesola and his team.

They believe cause of his death has roots in his ambition to become All Progressives Congress gubernatorial candidate in move to become the next govenor of Osun state.

They allege chieftains of the his new party have a hand in it and strenuously kick against official position of alleged drug overdose.

And out of anger they are said to be working on “a political arrangement” with men from the People’s Democratic Party, the political platform they dumped.

Otunba Iyiola Omisore is said to be deeply involved in the talks that is speedily returning him to position of influence.

Talks of his bounce back are equally getting wings from revelations he has made up with revered traditional ruler, Ooni Adeyeye Ogunwusi.

His supporters are said to be going about town and trying to create a storm of support by interpretting the “reconciliation” as a “pact of understanding” between Ooni and Omisore.

According to emerging details ex Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola may eventually be forced to sit out the looming fight.

Sources claim the names of aspirants on the table for consensus candidate in emerging almagamation of political forces with Omisore at the centre are all his hardcore loyalists, along with a handful of the top men in the ongoing arrangement against Aregbesola.

These are men Oyinlola knows have his back, even with his eyes closed an insider stated.

According to a source “naturally Oyinlola forced to a minimal play in upcoming gubernatorial battle is a big plus for omisore and his people but for Aregbesola a huge minus, it spells trouble in capital letters’’

Though the Adeleke camp are major player in the looming battle to be decided in next year’s gubernatorial election in the state, source insist everything is however quietly turning into a Rauf Aregbesola versus Iyiola Omisore case.

And interestingly both men are not directly contesting the election but using proxies.

Aregbesola is fighting to protect the legacies of eight year reign , as well as continuous relevance of party at state level and self at national level.

For Iyiola Omisore, the case is simple. He wants to deny him all these.
