Transport Union Boss Musiliu Akinsanya has officially announced the movement of his team fromt Lagos State Parks and Garages managers back to the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW).

The development confirms SocietyNow.Ng’s report earlier in the week.

Akinsanya famously known as MC Oluomo made the revelation in a statement that reads….

I, Alhaji Musiliu Ayinde Akinsanya, welcome you all to this great and history making occasion. Before I proceed, I will like to appreciate our Governor in Lagos State Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Lagos State House of Assembly and the entire Lagos Sate Government cabinet for their supports towards us during our trying periods.

I am particularly indebted to our Governor for his fatherly role as it’s relates to our relationship with the NURTW President who was hell outgone. Bent in causing chaos in Lagos as a result of his (Baruwa) draconian and inhumane disposition towards us in Lagos NURTW then (Now LASPG).

1, on behalf of the entire Lagos State Executives, State Administrative Council members and Staffs of LASPG hereby pray for more wisdom, knowledge and understanding to our Governor in Lagos State in steering the ship of Lagos State. May all you aspire for be bestowed on you sir, your Excellency.

In addition to this, we are using this medium to promise our full supports and cooperation to your excellency in steering the ship and the various giant strides of your administration in Lagos State.

We are also using this medium to maintain the cordial relationship that exists between
Lagos State Government and the Union.
It is indeed a new dawn in our organization as we transit from Lagos State
Parks and Garages to our original home, “the National Union of Road Transport Workers “(NURTW).

We are especially grateful to our indefatigable Lagos State Governor, His Excellency, Mr. Babajide Olushola Sanwo-Olu, who in our trying moments as a result of the inhumane deposition of the outgone NURTW President towards us in Lagos NURTW, accommodated us whole heartedly, hence the constitution of a 22 Men Adhoc Committee, of Lagos State Parks and Garages. on behalf of myself Alhaji Musiliu Ayinde Akinsanya, the State Executives, Members and Staff of our great Union, we want to appreciate you in all ramification.

As we transcend from Lagos State Parks and Garages to NURTW. The revamped NURTW (both at the National Level and State Level in Lagos State) will not rest in our oars to support the Themes agenda of His Excellency in Lagos State. As we all aware that in the themes agenda, represents Transportation. We are therefore using this medium to retreat our full corporation to all the giant strides of His Excellency in the Transportation Sector in Lagos State. We might be transiting in mere name change, but we will not deviate from the necessary supports, cooperation and the cardinal relationship that existed between us in LASPG and the Lagos State Governor through the Ministry of Transportation.
It’s our believe and volition that we will not disappoint all and sundries in our strides to make Lagos NURTW a good reference points for other Statesto emulate.

As it is being opined that “Unity is “Progress” the Alhaji Musiliu Ayinde Akinsanya led Lagos NURTW is geared towards uniting all members irrespective of affiliations While also using this medium to embrace all union members hittoto to come home and by the grace of God they will be adequately inculcated back into the mainstream Lagos NURTW.

Conclusively, all this epoch making event will not for the support of the Governor of Lagos State, the State Executive Council, the Lagos State House of Assembly and the Ministry of Transportation in Lagos State.

Special accolades to the NURTW National Headquarters Caretaker Committee for repositioning the Union (NURTW) especially in the South Western State of Nigeria.
