The Ooni of Ife Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi is facing a heavy backlash.

And this development is two-fold: for attending the coronation of Oba Gbolahan Lawal, the new Oniru of Iruland, Lagos State, and his perceived action at the ceremony.

Ooni was pictured standing while exchanging pleasantries with a seated powerful politician Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu with the new Oniru, also seated on, on the other side.

Many see the postures in the picture as deeply offensive to the revered stool of Ooni of Ife.
