Supreme Court Sacks Ali Modu Sheriff, Returns Ahmed Makarfi As PDP National Chairman

Ahmed Makarfi has been affirmed as the authentic national chairman of the People’s Democratic Party.

The supreme court made this assertion in a ruling earlier delivered today.

The judgement handed down by a five man panel of the apex court led by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Walter Onoghen reinstated Ahmed Makarfi, earlier sacked by the Port Harcourt Division of the Court of Appeal as the National Chairman of the party.

The Supreme court also declares in an unopposed ruling that the National Convention of the PDP held on May 21, 2016, rightly and constitutionally removed Sheriff as National Chairman.
