After her party was defeated, she embraced silence and steered clear of the media. Now, report has it that Shagaya may have totally shunned politics, leaving it for the real politicians. She is no longer regular in Ilorin, unlike early last year when she was the most powerful woman in politics in Kwara State as a result of her connections in the corridors of power. Hajia Shagaya, who is the closest ally to former Nigeria first lady, Patience Goodluck Jonathan, has now concentrated on oil and gas business
