Street talks in Benin, the Edo state capital has a reason for the raging open quarrel between Governor Adams Oshiomhole and powerful family in the area – the Igbinedions.

The pockets of discussions claim outside of the credibility of accusations and allegations that the governor has doused the Igbinedions ,there is the motive of weakening the economic, political and social influence of the family.

This is believed to be aimed at fragmenting the power of the Igbinedions at mustering support towards installing a candidate of their choice as Oshiomole’s successor.

Governor Adams Oshiomole after a prolonged spell of chummy relationship is currently up in arms with ex Governor Lucky Igbinedion, as well as his extremely wealthy and influence father.

Their party lost the Presidency and control of the federal government to Governor Oshiomole’s All Progressives Congress in the last general election.

And if the words on the street are to be followed the Igbinedions lost the confidence and friendship of Governor Adams Oshiomole as well with the development.
