“Start Mobilising Ahead Of 2026”- Basiru Charges Osun APC On Next Guber Election

The National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress Senator Ajibola Basiru has charged the rank and file of the party in Osun State to be resolute and respect the will of the party if members want APC to reclaim power in 2026.

Senator Basiru gave the charge when he played host to the Forum of Councillors of the party who were duly elected but removed by Ademola Adeleke.

Basiru said APC can remain the party to beat in the next general elections in Osun if members maintain and sustain harmonious relationships and hold the party together from units, wards to local Government and State.

“I commend the leadership of APC in the State for doing everything within their power to breathe life into the party and keep the flag flying.”

“I charge all of you as leaders in your own right to start mobilising ahead of 2026. Never do you think it is far away. See your current situation as a threshold towards better days ahead. I assure you that there will be light at the end of the tunnel.”

“I nudge you to be resolute and maintain your loyalty to the party. Don’t let the guard open and do not all cracks. You are close to the grassroots. Mobilisation starts now.”

Senatorial leader, Honourable Adeoye Adelakun, former Deputy Speaker, Hon Adegboye Akintunde and another party leader, Hon Waheed Adediran lauded the former councillors for their steadfastness and commitment to the course of the party. They described last year’s loss as a temporary setback which will be overcome in due course and with members’ resoluteness to hoist the banner of the party again in the Government House.

The Forum of the Councillors thanked Senator Ajibola Basiru for his efforts at holding the party together giving his position as the National Scribe. They promised to stay with the party and begin the preparations towards 2026 in earnest.
