Prepare To Produce Next Gov – Uzodinma Tells Owerri Zone

The Imo State Governor, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma has yesterday affirmed his commitment to the principle of the Charter of Equity, urging Owerri Zone indigenes to prepare for the upcoming transition of power.

Governor Uzodimma announced during the courtesy/congratulatory visit of Owerri Zone Stakeholders at the Government House Owerri, led by the Imo All Progressive Congress party Chairman, Dr. McDonald Ebere Ph.D, Prince Lemmy Akakem and other Owerri Zone leaders.

The Governor in his address, acknowledged their continuous support and emphasized the Owerri Zone’s rightful place in occupying the seat of power in Douglas House.

Speaking earlier, the Imo All Progressive Congress party Chairman, Dr. McDonald Ebere Ph.D, congratulated the Governor for his landslide victory at the November 11 polls, adding that the performance of the party during the election, proved wide acceptance of the party through people-oriented projects by Governor Uzodimma.

The visit featured the presentation of kolanut and the symbolic traditional Ogbu Ehi (Bull) to the Governor by Prince Lemmy Akakem had key Owerri Zone leaders present with Government officials who witnessed the congratulatory visit.

Present at the event were the Deputy-Governor Elect, Lady Mrs. Chinyere Ekomaru, the former Deputy Governor of Imo, Chief Mrs. Ada Okwuonu, and the political adviser to the Governor, Barr. Ennyinnaya Onuegbu and other Owerri Zone leaders.
