Reactions to the slim win by Governor Dapo Abiodun in the Saturday, March 18, 2023, Ogun state gubernatorial election continues.
Abiodun who was the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the election won with 13, 915 votes more than his main challenger, Ladi Adebutu.
Adebutu of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) polled 262, 383 votes while Abiodun secured 276, 298 votes.
SocietyNow.Ng gathered that the votes that gave Abiodun victory were secured on the political turf of Ogun West Senator-Elect, Solomon Adeola popularly known as Yayi.

PDP gubernatorial candidate Adebutu is contesting Abiodun’s win based on claims that he (Adebutu) was leading by a 33,000 votes margin before results were canceled in areas he is popular.
He wants the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to upturn the gubernatorial election verdict in his favor based on claims his margin of lead before the cancelation of results in his stronghold is bigger than what gave Abiodun victory.
