Senator Gbenga Obadara Dumps Aremo Segun Osoba, Scampers Back To Asiwaju Bola Tinubu
Defeated Senator, Gbenga Obadara has switched political allegiance societynowng.com learnt.
Informants claimed to societynowng that the arch loyalists of political leader, Aremo Segun Osoba has deserted him.
Sources disclosed the politician who lost his seat to Prince Lanre Tejuosho is currently romancing Osoba’s political foe – Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
Osoba had led Obadara and other strong loyalists out of the All Progressives Congress to resuscitate the fortunes of political party Social Democratic Party over convoluted fights that pitched their interest against that of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and governor Ibikunle Amosun.

Asiwaju Bola Tinubu was portrayed in the damaging political conflict as backing Governor Amosun behind the scene to limit the profile and influence of Aremo Osoba in and out of the APC in the build up to the general election.
Osoba and his followers eventually left APC in the face of raging plot by Governor Amosun to deny all re election seeking office holders – including his son, Olumide were denied party tickets to retain their seats.
APC went on to retain Ogun state and also secured victory at the national level that gave them control of the Federal Government – Osoba and his SDP crew lost out in a landslide.
Asiwaju Bola Tinubu
Sources disclosed perhaps not comfortable with the proposition of sitting out another four years before making another attempt at political prominence – Obadara has made himself pliable to pressure to return to the APC camp through the Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
‘what first alerted us to this development was confirmed spotting of Obadara with Asiwaju and his supporters during the Senate President election crisis….Obadara was one of those at the meeting supposedly called by the President that created room for Saraki to achieve his ambitio….an SDP man at a gathering of APC chieftains, what does that says’ an insider provided background.
Informants claimed other public and private meetings between Obadara and Asiwaju Tinubu and his supporters have since reconfirmed the development.
It is believed the return of Obadara to Asiwaju Tinubu’s camp is part of attempts at shoring up the numbers of the political leader’s supporters in the ongoing battle to protect and save his legacy within his party.
Details of the deal that enable the switch of political allegiance however remain guarded at press time.
