Rochas Okorocha Barred From Travelling Abroad

Former Governor Rochas Okorocha has been barred from traveling out of the country.

The development is part of the bail conditions given by the court in his N2.9Billion corruption case.

The Federal High Court In Abuja handling his case has ordered that Okorocah should deposit his international passport with the court.

The court also ordered that the immigration service should be alerted in writing that the former Governor should not be allowed to travel out of the country without its permission.

Okorocha was admitted to bail in the sum of N500million with a surety in like sum.

The former Governor representing Imo West in the Senator was arrested by prosecuting agency Economic and Financial Crimes Commission – EFCC – last week after a 10hr standoff.

EFCC operatives arrested Okorocha in his Abuja residence for dodging invitations after securing bail at his first interrogation.

He was arraigned in court yesterday, Monday, June 30, 2022, but was remanded in custody for his bail appearance today, Tuesday, May 31, 2022.
