The reason former Governor Orji Uzor Kalu sacked Steve Nwosu, Sun Newspaper Deputy Managing Director has filtered out.

Talks floating around the top echelon of the daily publication owned by the politician indicate the reason for the sack more political than professional.

Steve Nwosu – after several public and private pronouncements by Kalu that he was in line to become the next managing director of the publication – was shoved out of Sun Newspaper in a shocking manner.

Nwosu was sacked but along with a number of staff of the publications in a mystery manner.

But emerging details have cleared the mystery about Nwosu’s sack.

He was said to be behind critical stories the newspaper published against President Muhammadu Buhari.

And allegedly refused to back down after attempts to “reach out” to him.

The Newspaper’s posture – via Nwosu’s stories – reportedly gave Kalu political problems with the presidency.

The President’s backers were reportedly leveraging on the Newspaper’s posture to give Kalu more grief.

The former Abia state Governor is fighting hard to return to mainstream politicking after a serious of political maneuvering in his state almost played him out of oblivion.

And hung a big money corruption court case on his neck.

Nwosu’s professional antics was reportedly making it hard for Kalu to make his problems go away, hence the need to cut ties with the former DMD.
