Details of the last spell of the life of popular prophet Temitope Balogun Joshua more popularly known as T.B Joshua have started emerging.

The “Man in the Synagogue” as he is also known died yesterday evening, June 5, 2021, at the age of 57- seven days short of his 58th birthday.

Societynow.ng gathered that before his death, the very popular Tele-evangelist estimated to be worth over $15million had cut ties with the media.

“He was no longer seeing a whole lot of media men, especially those that helped him push narratives that over the years made him a formidable brand” societynow.ng gathered.

Insiders disclosed that this development has roots in the collapse of a six storey building under-going construction at the headquarters of his ministry in Ikotun Egbe, Lagos State.

The collapsed structure within the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) in September 2014 resulted in the death of 86 persons and various degrees of injuries to 130 people according to official figures.

Unconfirmed sources claim figures of the dead and injured were not fully captured.

In the course of managing the tragedy, select journalists were invited for an interaction with the embattled Prophet T.B Joshua the headquarters of his ministry.

A secret recording of a part of his comments was made and turned into a huge embarrassment when published as a story by one of the persons that attended.

The tape postured the prophet as “inducing” for the tragedy to be slanted in his favor by the media present.

”T.B Joshua felt betrayed. He was really pained and that episode started a growing restriction of the media’s access to him till he died.” Societynow.ng gathered.

The checks by societynow.ng revealed that prior to that particular episode, T.B Joshua was very big in providing media support to organizations and practitioners.

“He massively cut down on those gestures and relied more on his media platforms and social media handles of loyalists and members of his fold to push his narratives after the untold embarrassment caused by the secret recording of comments he made in an unguarded moment during interaction with those he invited” societynow.ng learned.

Societynow.ng gathered that the focus – and investments – on his own platforms proved very valuable for T.B Joshua as followers on Facebook grew to over 3million and youtube subscribers over 600,000. His youtube viewings have increased to over 200 million.
