Reactions As New Ogun Gov Dapo Abiodun Kicks Off Dancing “Shaku”

The new Governor of Ogun state Dapo Abiodun has kicked off on a jolly note.

After his swearing-in ceremony and inauguration speech yesterday, the first major action attributed to the new Governor is ‘’Shaku Dancing’’.

Shaku is an underground dance style that has become very popular in mainstream music thanks to its adoption by race musicians.

Abiodun and his wife, Bamidele showcased their expertise of the now famous dance steps – with coordination done by singer Olamide – at the governor’s inauguration ball held at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library Events Centre.

Olamide was one of the performers at the engagement and he got the Governor and his wife to ‘’ dance shaku’’ as one of the major highlights of the occasion.

‘’The picture of the display by the governor and his wife has since gone viral and attracting huge reactions societynow.ng confirmed

Giving strong winds to the reactions is the fact that the new governor was obviously so elated by own display that he put up a picture of the development on his personal page.

According to checks by societynow.ng the Shaku Dancing picture with the caption ‘’Having a nice time with @ baddosneh #InaugurationBall’’ attracted 121 comments and 161 shares within four hours on Abiodun’s facebook page.

The Shaku Dance is Abidoun’s first major action as Ogun Governor according to the arrangement of pictures on his page.

The dance picture comes immediately after those of his swearing-in.
The growing popularity of the picture is attracting diverse opinions bothering about possible administrative style and competence of the new governor.

Socieynow.ng gleaned from the growing talks- that though still too early to stick- the appellation “Shaku Governor” is now being thrown at Abiodun.
