Queen Injured – Chiefs Fled – As Angry Youths Hurled Yams At King Of Billionaire Michael Ade-Ojo’s Town

Yesterday – Friday, September 13 – was not a good day for Oba Abiodun Aderemi Adefehinti, the king of Ilara Mokin, Ondo State.

The traditional ruler and his wife were attacked angry youths during the new yam festival (Ijesu) which held yesterday.

Yams were hurled at the king and his queen societynow.ng learned.

‘’The queen sustained an injury in the attack which was carried out at the new palace’’ societynow.ng gathered.

Discussions on a dedicated social media platform for indigenes of the town – Ilara Mokin Of My Dream – revealed that the attack stemmed from the king’s refusal to adhere to cultural stipulations relating to the celebration of the festival.

Societynow.ng gathered that the abandoned one of the rites midway and returned to the new palace where the angry youths hurled yams in expressing their anger.

The chiefs who attempted to shield the ‘’ disappearance of the king’’ during the rites were almost beaten up according to the revelations made on the platform.

The chiefs reportedly fled.

Billionaire Michael Ade-Ojo is a native of Ilara-Mokin.

The chairman of Elizade Nigeria Limited – the face of Toyota in Nigeria – is said to have waded into the crisis suing for peace.

A meeting to look into the crisis was held this morning at the palace of the troubled king societynow.ng learned.
