Police Investigating Gun-Bearing House On The Rock Pastor

The Nigeria Police Force is looking into the circumstances surrounding a pastor’s bearing of an AK 47 rifle on the pulpit on Sunday.

A cleric identified to be Pastor Uche Aigbe of the Abuja arm of the famous ministry, Hold On The Rock was videoed and pictured with an AK-47 slung over his shoulder and addressing congregants on Sunday, February 12, 2023.

The picture and video have attracted widespread interest and different shades of comments.

The spokesperson for the Nigeria Police, CSP, Olumuyiwa Adejobi revealed that the force is already looking into the development.

“We have commenced an investigation into this” he stated on Twitter.

Adejobi disclosed that the Commissioner of Police in Abuja already has the video.

The Force Spokesperson asserted that no one is allowed to bear arms except officers of the law.

Adejobi further revealed that an official position by the Police on the matter will soon be made known.

“The PPRO FCT will make an official statement as soon as possible” Adejobi disclosed on Twitter in reaction to the trending video and image.
