Police Grill Kwam 1 For 6hrs, Release Him On Bail Over Shooting Of Student At Ijebu Performance

The police interest over the shooting of an undergraduate at a performance by Musician Wasiu Ayinde Marshal is far from over.

Trending report has it that the popular musician was grilled for about six hours yesterday Tuesday October 27 2015.

According reports the top rate musician widely known as King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal was grilled by by detectives from the Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Bureau(CIIB in connection with the incident Wasiu Ayinde Kwam 1
The trending reports read in part ‘KWAM 1, who arrived the Eleweran, the Headquarters of the Ogun state Police Command, around 11a.m, was interrogated by the Operatives of CIIB for about six hours before granted bail. He left at about 5.30 pm.

A student of the Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU), Ago-Iwoye identified as Azeez Kofoworola of the Department of Business Education was on October 10, 2015 shot at a Show held in a hotel during the Ago-Iwoye Town’s day celebration.

A bullet reportedly hit Kofoworola as he sat in an unmarked Honda Accord owned by an officer of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Hassan Afeez. The shooting caused pandemonium while the victim was rushed to the General hospital in Ijebu-Ode for treatment.’

Till date it was not known what caused the shooting or who pulled the trigger but the media was awash with the story-and the top musician declared his innocence at the time.

The Deputy Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Abimbola Oyeyemi, who confirmed his interrogation, said Kwam 1’s case is being handled by detectives at the CIIB on the orders of the Commissioner of Police’
