“Paying Salaries Of All Teachers In His Village For 12yrs” & Other Major Reasons Kogi People Are Celebrating Victor Adoji

Victor Alewo Adoji, the experienced communicator and negotiator with expertise garnered from long-term senior positions in management, strategy execution and people management is being celebrated in Kogi State in a list of worthy Igala persons.

According to information released for celebrating Adoju monitored by societynow.ng ‘’he has been focused on empowerment and capacity building of young Igala people to embarked on further studies, particularly in Kogi East and Kogi State at large.

Because he hates to have his humanitarian services been mentioned in public, he used individuals and organisations to assisted several less privileged people to pay school fees, hospital bills and provision of shelters in times of need.

Even before his attainment of fame as a public figure, his humanitarian service started as a probono auxiliary teacher at CSCC, Anyigba for a long period of time on a free of charge.

‘’A visit to the Ministry of Mercy orphanage in Otutulu, any of the Doctors at Diagnostics and Reference Hospital Anyigba, the Ogugu Ofante Catholic Community, the bussary department of KSU or any members of Project Igala Education Committee will update you more than the little that I have mentioned of his humanitarian Services to the orphans, widows and the less privileged.

Though he is not directly in any position to employ people in his service sector, but he has influenced a number of people into the Central Bank of Nigeria, the Federal Airport Authority and other places through his contacts.

He singlehandedly built the main Mosque and UEC Church in his village (Okula-Aloma). Added to this, he built a modern class room block in the only Primary school in Okula and in conjunction with other elites in the village established the secondary school in the village.

‘’For over twelve years, he has been responsible for paying the salaries of all the teachers in his village.

He is in the process of building an estate in the village under a 20-year mortgage scheme for people of his village based in states around the country to own houses in the village.

He has sunk several boreholes in a number of villages and places including the Open University in Idah, the catholic orphanage in Anyigba and for the people of Ogene-Igah his maternal home.

‘’We are celebrating Dr Victor Alewo Adoji today as an illustrious Igala son whose scholarship and other humanitarian services has contributed immensely to the growth and development of individuals and groups in Igala land and beyond.

More Victor Adojis can rise up from amongst us the youths of Igala land to do more for the land of our birth if we are sincere, focused and determine to redeem, redirect and reposition our land.”

‘’Dr. Victor Alewo Adoji is an experienced communicator and negotiator with expertise garnered from long-term senior positions in management, strategy execution, people management, civil society collaborations and politics.

Born on the 29th May 1971 to late (Elder) Bernard A. Adoji and deaconess Rebecca Adoji. He is a citizen of Okula-Aloma in Ofu Local Government Area, Kogi State.

His primary and secondary education were at the St Paul’s Primary School (now, Mohammed Bankano Primary School), Sokoto and Federal Government College, Sokoto respectively. He has a Diploma in Project Management from the International Business Management Institute, Germany. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Jos, two MBAs; with specializations in Corporate Strategy, Leadership and Sustainability, as well as five graduate (Masters) degrees in Economics, Public Administration and International Affairs, Entrepreneurship, Managerial Psychology and Social Welfare.

‘’His first Doctoral degree, received from the University of Panama (PhD), focused on credit management. The second, a doctoral degree in business administration (DBA), focused on leadership, corporate governance and people management, from the Leedsbeckett University, UK.

Dr. Adoji holds several professional certifications, memberships and fellowships. He is a Fellow, Institute of Credit Administration (FICA) and a British International Certified Credit Fellowship (ICCF). His fellowships also include, Fellow, Chartered Institute of Public Management of Nigeria, Fellow, Institute of Credit Administration (FICA) and Fellow, America Academy of Project Management (FAAPM). Aside being a Certified Procurement & Project Management Specialist (CPPMS), and a Master Project Manager (MPM), he is also a Member of several Professional and academic bodies in Nigeria and beyond including, but not limited to, Nigeria Economic Society (NES), Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM), Institute of Chartered Economists of Nigeria (ICEN) and Institute of Transformational Entrepreneurs and Leaders (ITEL).

Dr. Victor Adoji is a faculty member of the Institute of Credit Administration of Nigeria (ICA) and a board member of the Institute of Chartered Economists of Nigeria (ICEN)
Victor Alewo Adoji also has two Doctoral (Honoris Causa) degrees: One, DBA specializing in Project Management from the Commonwealth University in conjunction with the London Graduate School and another (Doctor of Public Administration – DPA) from the African Institute of Public Administration in conjunction with the London Bridge Business School.

‘’Adoji’s working career started with Paterson Zochonis (Nig) Plc as a superintendent from where he moved to as deputy editor, the business section of the Northern based Concern Magazine. He joined Zenith Bank in year 2000 where he served meritoriously before his resignation as the head of cooperate communication.

The Zenith Bank branches in Anyigba, cash office in Idah and the recently opened branch in Ankpa are all to his credit. This is aside from the numerous people whose employment he influenced and never mentions for professional and strategic reasons.

Adoji is happily married to Helen Enemi Adoji and blessed with children.

In 2019, He contested for the Senate Ticket of the People’s Democratic Party but could not make it for the party’s decision to field Jon Attai Aidoko as a consensus candidate. He defected and contested the 2019 senate election as the candidate of the African Democratic Congress. In 2019, he contested to the aspirant in the People’s Democratic Party primaries for governorship and lost to Engr Musa Wada.

Been uniquely different from others in his silent style of humanitarianism, Dr Victor Alewo Adoji has been a source, a catalyst and instrumental to the growth and development of many groups, individual and communities in Igala nation for over a decade’’
