‘’Our Leader & Menthol’’…Here Is The Street Banner Making Nonsense Of NURTW Boss, MC Oluomo’s Efforts At Re-branding

Musiliu Akinsanya, the new Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in Lagos state is working hard at rebranding.

Akinsanya more popularly known as MC Oluomo has taken steps, including publicly identifying with public office holders and business executives, in efforts ay portraying the transport union he heads as ‘’responsible and widely accepted’’.

This is against the background that the NURTW is viewed as a ‘’ den of thugs and touts’’ in many quarters.

Checks by societynow.ng, however, revealed that Oluomo’s move just took a plunge.
And this development was borne out of good intention.

In an attempt to identify with the new state chairman’s effort, a section of the NURTW in Lagos state displayed a huge street banner with the caption ‘’ National Union Of Road Transport Workers Mainland West Branch Rejoice With Our Leader & Menthol ‘’.

The banner features a prominent picture of National President Ibikunle Baruwa and Lagos state Chairman Musiliu Akinsanya.

‘’Our Leader & Menthol’’ overshadows all other characters in the banner.
The ‘’Menthol’’ used instead of ‘’Mentor’’ further aids damning narrative the condemns the NURTW far and near.
