That is the extraordinary friendship between Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi and Lagos monarch, Oba Ademola Saheed Elegushi.

Informants claim the change in the status of their friendship from rosy to embattled is a recent affair.

The Lagos king fondly called Gushi is said to have played vital role in emergence of blossom ruler as sitter on the throne of the source.

Sources claim with change in status the Ooni has become “largely unavailable” to his friend and against the background of oustansings between them, this is said to be souring their friendship.
