Omisore, SDP Flag Bearer Arrests Atanda, Rival Factions Guber Candidate

Minirudeen Atanda, the gubernatorial candidate of one of the Social Democratic Party factions in Osun state has been arrested.

Sources disclosed his arrest was orchestrated out of the camp of his rival Otunba Iyiola Omisore.

Omisore is the candidate of the other faction of SDP in Osun state.

The two factions held separate gubernatorial primaries which produced Omisore and Atanda as candidates on either side.

A fresh twist, however, revealed the Omisore faction has orchestrated the arrest of Atanda.

He is accused of being an impersonator and agent of the People’s Democratic Party.

“The claim is that Atanda is not a member of SDP but a spoiler threw up by the PDP to derail Omsiore’s gubernatorial ambition” a source disclosed.

Omisore left the PDP to become the candidate of the SDP as a result of intense opposition against his gubernatorial ambition.
