Gboyega Oyetola Emerged Winner Of Highly Controversial APC Guber Primary In Osun

The winner of the highly controversial Osun state gubernatorial primary has emerged.

He is Gboyega Oyetola, the man the process was allegedly skewed to favour.

Oyetola is both the stepbrother to popular politician Asiwau Bola Ahmed Tinubu and also the chief of staff to Governor Rauf Aregbesola.

The Governor is accused of going all out to introduce a voting system that eventually threw up Oyetola as the party candidate.

Oyetola reportedly polled 1,841 votes while deputy speaker of the Federal House of Representatives Yusuf Lasun secured 668 votes to emerge second.

The shadow election witnessed resignation from the chairman of the committee in charge of exercise, pullout from some other contenders as well as major allegations from leading candidate Kunle Rasheed Adegoke (KRAD) over claims of manipulations and related electoral vices.
