Omisore Begins Move To Kick Out Aregbesola From Osun State!

…leverages on incumbent’s unpopularity with wide spread gifts, empowerment programmes

Senator Iyiola Omisore has embraced a new political agenda.

He wants to kick out incumbent, Rauf Aregbesola out as the Governor of Osun state.

The present state helms man is in the 2nd year of a 4yrs tenure as the Chief Executive of the state of Living Spring.

He is eligible to contest for another 4yr tenure.

But if the moves just initiated by former Deputy Governor and Senator from the state, Omisore is anything to go by- then ‘this might not be feasible’

Sources confirmed, the powerful People’s Democratic Party chieftain just deployed widespread gifts and empowerment programme in the state.

The move is reportedly geared at leveraging on the ‘unpopularity of Gov Aregbesola’ in his domain.

Otunba Iyiola Omisore is said to be determined to achieve his lifelong ambition of becoming the Governor of Osun state in the next Governorship election in the area.

And his major strategy is ‘endearing himself to the electorates at the expense of Aregbesola’

The incumbent is widely viewed as running ‘a foreign government’

It is generally perceived that the man that ascended office on the platform of Action Congress of Nigeria is ‘under performing’ with limited projects to show for it.

He is more controversially known for such moves as ,’infamous appointments’ as exemplified in the case of the ‘Chief Judge’, awards of multi billion contracts reflected in the case of alleged bankrupted company given road construction – Samyya, change of the state’s identity and allegations of attempting to islamise amongst others.

The chain reaction of the effects of the controversies and attendant damaging speculation is the unpopularity the Governor enjoys on the streets.

Omisore, recently the victim of electoral defeat is latching on the atmosphere to stage a comeback with his ‘gifts’.

In moves to gradually offer a better alternative, sources confirmed that specifically, Omisore just doled out ‘ an empowerment programme of One hundred thousand naira each to market women in sections of the state’, ‘Given patronage to over 1000 commercial motor bike riders’, ‘I.T training to some select individuals’ and with ‘show of more to come’

These moves are said to bolster the slipped image of the taciturn politician- with his handlers wiping the development into a frenzy of ‘how more serious and concerned he is, about the welfare of the people of Osun state’

According to an observer ‘should Omisore continue to build on his growing image, against the background of his depth political and Aregbesola’s growing unpopularity- I tell you, he has a very strong chance achieving his dream’

Whether the Aregbesola’s camp have taken the growing threat seriously and are devising means to check mate it remains to be seen.
