Ogun Gov Dapo Abiodun In Abuja To Show Buhari His ‘’Report Card’’ While Protest Rocks State Capital

Governor of Ogun Dapo Abiodun was in Abuja today.

He went to present his ‘’report card’’ to President Muhammadu Buhari.
Abiodun’s report card is a ‘’photo documentary detailing the achievements of his administration in 52weeks in Ogun State.’’

The aim of the move, according to the Governor to let President Buhari ‘’ have near first-hand experience of the many strides taken and progress made in the #BuildingOurFuture Together Agenda within a short and unusual time.’’

The Governor’s presentation of his ‘’report card’’ to President Buhari comes on the day Taxi Drivers protest in his state’s capital, Abeokuta over the increase in the price pump price of petrol from N143.80 to N151.56 per litre in the face of restriction placed on the numbers of passengers they are allowed take per trip by the Ogun State Government.

The protest reportedly caused massive traffic across Abeokuta.

‘’The Taxi drivers refused to take passengers, they parked on roadsides and drove in large numbers across in state in protest before they headed for the Governor’s office in Oke ‘Mosan’’ societynow.ng learned.

This happened barely twenty-four (24) hours after the Ogun State chapter of the Nigeria Labor Congress issued a 14 (fourteen) days deadline for the Government to meet its demand or face industrial actions.

The NLC is demanding the payment of negotiated new minimum wage for its members amid related workers’ welfare package.
