Oba Oladele Olashore Dies In London Hospital

Celebrated traditional ruler, Oba Oladele Olashore is dead.

Sources confirmed the 77 year old monarch of Iloko Ijesha, Osun state passed on yesterday night.

He reportedly gave up the ghost at a London hospital.

Though details of the manner of death is still sketchy- informants claimed he was on a medical trip at the time of death.

Insiders claimed the visit abroad was part of arrangement to manage his health.

As at press time- news of the development is gradually making the rounds at his domain.

As part of tradition, the king makers are said to be keeping sealed lips over the development- till traditional rites that would herald the official announcement are conducted.

This probably explains why Chief Ogunsanya, second in command (Risa) to the respected monarch maintained the development is not confirmed yet when we got in touch.

He’s response: ‘It is not confirmed yet’

Also the late traditional ruler’s personal assistant, Mr Dele Alimi when contacted on phone said: ‘I’m no longer with him so I can’t confirm the story’.

However, when concerned friends got in touch with Lekan, one of the sons of the monarch- he insisted ‘the story is not true’. He claimed his father is still alive.
