The Federal Government was said to alleged that powerful politicians in opposition parties are masquerading under it are using the protest to taint the government- out of contention political personalities are also said to be using the exercise to return to public relevance.

The state governors alleged the same in their states. okonjo and labour leader.

These allegations were part of ‘talks’ held between Labour leaders and the Federal Government team in earlier meetings, in the on going negotiation to revert the price of petrol to N65 from 141.

Special mentions were made of political parties, CPC and CAN as well as their leaders Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Muhammed Buhari.

Asiwaju Tinubu is alleged to have instructed all ACN governors to make their states fertile for the protest- Buhari is alleged to be striving to achieve the same in the north where the CPC has influence.

The Federal Government further alleged that ‘they are working together in certain areas to achieve common political games using a willing Labour leadership as camouflage’

The ultimate aim tagged ‘to destabilise the government and to do that a major threat to national security’

The contributions from this and that disenchanted political group is said to be heating up the mix.

The Labour leaders denied the allegation.

They claimed innocence in the alleged complicity.

The Federal Government backed by the Governors reportedly brought added influence to bear- that the government will not go beyond N97, because any other reduction will portray it as weak.

It gave the labour an assumed leaway by agreeing to continue negotiation on the matter- but Labour should call off the strike if it doesn’t want the country to fall into anarchy.

The F.G crew claimed as long as the strike action continues, whether sit at home or on the streets- ‘the hijackers’ will still utilise it to continue with their agenda.

The labour leaders agreed- but both parties agreed to hold on to the announcement until measures to quell actions against it continued.

Insiders claim this was the reason, the national address by both Labour and F.G was called off until soldiers were deployed to strategic locations- particularly areas viewed strong hold of the protesters like Lagos.

The soldiers were deployed overnight.

A soft landing was created by first announcing a reduction in price, then a stop to street protests and finally calling of the strike ‘in national interest’ by Labour Leaders.
