The gubernatorial campaign of Ladi Adebutu and the Ogun state chapter of the People’s Democratic Party are set to experience further crises.

And a clear indication of this is attributed to increased talks of defection taking hold of the party.

Ladi, the son of popular pool magnate Kessignton Adebutu has initiated campaign to become the successor of incumbent governor

of Ogun state Ibikunle Amosun.

Gboyega Isiaka was the candidate of the PDP in the last general election.

He lost to Amosun and is believed to be hoping for a second chance to have a go at the state’s number one position.
‘’it is this ambition that has made his supporters to react with threats of showdown against campaigns by Adebutu’s supporters positioning him as deputy’’ a source claimed.

What is said to have further aggravated the situation is the release information of financial and related support provided for Isiaka in his failed gubernatorial attempt by Ladi Adebutu.

‘’they claimed Adebutu gave Isiaka big money and massive support and are making the whole sound like payback time without first having a talk with the man’’ a source stated.

Societynowng.com learnt those in Isiaka’s camp see this as ‘’a big disrespect’’ and ‘’subtle blackmail’’ and ‘’a dent on Isiaka’s image release of confidential information of

support in the name of campaign’’

And they are kicking against it, claiming they will resist it with all they have.

Insiders revealed though in same party, supporters of the two PDP chieftains are currently on opposing sides and working against one another’s interest in the name of protecting their principal’s interest.
