Kashamu Buruji’s Faction Loses Out As Electoral Body Recognises Ladi Adebutu’s Backed Sikirulai Ogundele’s State Executive For Local Council Election

According to a report available

The Ogun State Independent Electoral Commission (OGSIEC) Thursday adopted the list of chairmanship and councillorship candidates forwarded by the Hon. Sikirulai Ogundele-led Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) of the state chapter to contest the October 8 local government elections.

The state executive headed by Ogundele is loyal to the Senator Ahmed Makarfi-led National Caretaker Committee of the PDP.
For the purpose of the council elections, the OGSIEC said it has dropped the list of candidates received from the Chief Adebayo Dayo-led faction in the state, loyal to the disputed PDP National Chairman, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff.

At the state level, Senator Buruji Kashamu is widely believed to be backing the Dayo-led faction which has also been at war with a the lawmaker representing Remo Federal Constituency, Hon. Oladipupo Adebutu
