Next generation network, Globacom, last weekend brought the 10-week long music concert, Glo Campus Storm, to an end with a superlative show at the Imo State University (IMSU), Owerri.

It was a befitting way to draw the cotton on the show which had set several campuses in the eastern part of the country abuzz before berthing at IMSU. The schools that had

hosted the show included both Nsukka and Enugu campuses of the University of Nigeria, University of Port Harcourt, University of Uyo, Federal Polytechnic, Nekede, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Abia State University, and University of Benin.

Indeed, the last edition of the concert at IMSU turned out to be a perfect Yuletide gift for the students and members of the university community as they enjoyed every moment of the show, dancing and soaking in the music and jokes from the entertainment acts paraded by Globacom at the event.

From the Marvin Records duo of Reekado Banks and Korede Bello to hilarious comedian 2CanTalk who anchored the show, the artistes delivered exceptional performances that will remain indelible in the minds of the audience for a long time to come.

The show kicked off with performances from up and coming artistes who impressed the crowd with their skills.  Lee Ray, Dimky, Roger-Lino, Ok David and Young Prince were some of those who thrilled the audience and showed their popularity among the students. However, Lambasixx clearly stood out with the delivery of his lyrics.

It was after this that Reekado Banks began the real show with his ‘Looku Looku’ track. He also sang other hit tracks like ‘Chop am’, ‘Sugar Baby’; ‘Problem’; and ‘Katapot’ and capped up his show the award-winning ‘Oluwa ni’ song.

His Marvin Records mate, Korede Bello, took off from where he stopped and raised the tempo higher with his ‘Mungo Park’ track which sent the hall wild with joy and excitement. He sustained the positive energy in the hall with ‘One and Only’, ‘Adaobi’ ‘Do it like that’,  and ‘Relative’ tracks in quick succession, and ended with ‘Godwin’. He also displayed his generous side once more as he ensured that some of the students ‘got alert’ by doling out cash gifts to them.  The disc jockey for the night, DJ XGee, helped in making the show a complete entertainment package as he supplied popular dance hall tracks from his jukebox.

A highlight of the show was the emergence of male and female winners in the beauty pageant. Nnamdi Tochukwu emerged winner of  IMSU “Glo Campus Data Dude” to take homeN100,000 cash prize, while Okpala Ugochukwu, Raphael Chindah, Egbule Obinna and Chiamonwu Victor won N50,000 each. Amamihe Jennifer was crowned IMSU “Glo Campus Data Diva” and she won N100,000. Runners-up in that category who went home with N50,000 each  included Nzediegwu Adaugu, Emetubelem Grace, Okochie Theresa and Mojekwu Chineye.
