Fate has smiled tremendously on the Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi.

He escaped a major plot by his ex-wife Channel Chin and her backers.

Societynow.ng learned that the Oluwo stayed a step ahead of the plot against him by initiating reconciliation – and mending fences where possible – with powerful interests against him.

And to his good fortune, societynow.ng learned he has ‘’powerful and influential figures watching out for him including a leading Yoruba monarch in his state and a wealth sectional monarch in Lagos state’’.

Societynow.ng learned that these ‘’royalties’’ form the base that helps retains much needed ‘’government support’’ and other ‘’aids’’ to protect the ‘’ crown’’ of the Oluwo.

Insiders disclosed that the ‘’ damning’’ revelations against Oluwo by former queen Channel Chin were meant to ‘’provide’’  veritable background in pushing for Oluwo’s dethronement amongst kingmakers and on legal grounds.

’’The allegations against Oluwo by this former wife, along with pieces of evidence, in a serialized interview by popular platform Asabe Afrika hugely portrayed Oba Akanbi as unfit to occupy the throne, these accusations backed with revelations by Remi Morgan, a leading figure in his emergence as king are as damning as any disclosures can be’’ societynow.ng learned.

Insiders, however, revealed that Oluwo has perfected a fence-mending with Morgan in a move that takes care of one of his major problems.

‘’Reconciling with Morgan is huge for Oluwo and his people because Morgan’s antagonism was a major key in the plot against him, because Morgan was right at the heart of all the moves that made him a King, aside having all the details that matters he is seen as an authority on anything concerning the Oluwo’’ a source pointed out.

Morgan has stopped the expose he started against Oba Akanbi after he was ‘’spoken to’’.

Societynow.ng gathered that Oluwo also has Covid-19 to thank as well.

‘’Covid-19 helped to relegate the allegations against him to the background. The scandalous details released by his ex-wife hit town just as Covid-19 started and people were more concerned about keeping safe and getting answers to uncertainties about the Pandemic than feasting on Oluwo’s matter. That and the restrictions on movements and gatherings heavily knocked the plot against Oluwo because the allegations did not trend and failed to provide much-needed momentum to move against him and especially the fact that Oluwo unusually did not engage his accusers also affected the plot .’’ Societynow.ng learned.
