Governor of Oyo state Seyi Makinde and his estranged backer Sunday Igboho – real name Sunday Adeyemo – have made peace of a sort with each other.

Igboho has been prevailed upon to stop abuses and careless talks against Makinde while the Governor has been made to reasons why he should making official pronouncements that paint Igboho as an outlaw.

“That is why you won’t see Igboho abusing the Governor again but rather commend and appeal for support in his new cause as the face of the fight against herdsmen crisis” societynow.ng learned.

Insiders disclosed that behind the peace between Igboho and Governor Makinde are stakeholders who want to leverage Igboho’s status as the new hero of the fight against criminals masquerading as herdsmen to fight a lasting solution to the crisis in the south-west.

Societynow.ng gathered that these stakeholders are the brain behind the new strategy that sees Igboho adopt a more moderate public speaking praising the efforts of others and appealing for more support with visits to the forests where herdsmen forage thrown in.

Playing major parts as advisors in positioning Igboho for more serious recognition is said to be a major player in media who dabbled in high-level politics not too long ago and a former minister caught on the not so bright side of history recently.

Igboho played a prominent role in the emergence of Makinde as the Governor of Oyo State in the 2019 gubernatorial election.

The duo, however, fell-out over issues of recognition for the support given before and during the election.
