In & Out Of Party, Senator Ajayi Boroffice’s Re Election Bid In Bigger Trouble

The chances of Ajayi Boroffice the Senator Representing Akoko North, Ondo state securing his re-election has been further dimmed.

And he faces this peculiar situation in and out of his political party, All Progressives Congress societynow.ng learned.

Party man and Governor of Ondo state, Rotimi Akeredolu is unrelenting in refusal to let Boroffice become party candidate.

The Ondo Senator worked against the emergence of Akeredolu as Governor.

“And it’s payback time. Akeredolu wants to give the ticket to a loyal party man who sacrificed heavily to make him Ondo Governor” societynow.ng learned.

Added revelation has it that outside of the party, a people’s favourite is emerging.

He is Senatorial aspirant Tokunbo Modupe of the People’s Democratic Party.

Modupe, a grass root politician in Akoko North, has declared the intention to become the next Senator representing the area – based on urging from his constituents.

Modupe has helped installed not less than five State House of Assembly members, three Federal House of Representatives members and Senators – including Boroffice.

Both politicians have antecedents as members of the Labour party.

Modupe possesses strong political structure in not less than two large voting local government areas out of the six that made up the Akoko North Senatorial Area.

And this is said to be the reason growing talks of the Senatorial ambition of Modupe, who is facing political persecution for been the DG of former President Goodluck Jonathan’s campaign in Ondo state, is being thundered about town in a manner that is not just giving Boroffice, but the party in power concern.
