Adeleke Odumuyiwa asked the question that elicited the response on a post by Adedayo urging the public to shy away from glory-seeking individuals in tackling insecurity.
The post comes less than 24hours that Sunday Igboho (real name Sunday Adeyemo) the new hero of the unconventional fight against herdsmen crisis in the Southwest visited Ogun state to a “rousing” welcome from the streets.
Governor Abiodun has not officially identified with Igboho and his trumpeted cause to liberate Yorubaland from the scourge of criminals masquerading as herdsmen.
Adedayo reiterated the contents of the press release by the commissioner for Information Wahab Odusile that the Dapo Abiodun administration has put structures in place to take care of its security challenges.
Odusile issued the press release yesterday, February 1, 2020, to correct the reports that the Ogun state government requested the help of Sunday Igboho to tackle the problems of herdsmen.
Societynow.ng gathered that recent developments concerning Igboho and Ogun state have fueled underground moves for the launch of Amotekun in Ogun state to take away the void that might result in the creation Of freedom fighters in the mold of individuals that Adedayo in his post captured as ” …abhor attempts to regulate them. They always want to be the supreme Lord without being accountable to anyone. Soon, along with their foot soldiers, you’ll be seeing landgrabbers, untouchable assassins and occasional highway men in action. “
