Rauf Aregbesola, the immediate past Minister for Interior, has clarified reports about his homecoming to Osun state yesterday, June 7, 2023.

Aregbesola made the clarification in a short statement that reads…

I thank the great people of Osun for a worthy Homecoming Reception organised in my honour yesterday.

It has been a very interesting journey. I Owe My Success To God, President Tinubu and President Buhari.

My joy knows no bound, just as I express gratitude to my family, friends, colleagues, and associates for standing by me and supporting me throughout this sojourn as Commissioner, Governor, and Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Some of the projects God used us to achieve and facilitate to Osun are the Fire Service Zonal Training School, 3,000 capacity custodial centre under construction, Passport front office, Regional passport production centre, Covid-19 crisis intervention fund Hospital, Ilesa and the National Institute of Domestic Security.

Presenting “scorecard’ to Traditional ruler, Owa of Obokun – Oba Gabriel Adekunle Aromolaran.

The institute is a research and training centre for all paramilitary agencies in Nigeria and all over Africa.

Let me also reiterate that I hold no grudge against anyone. My hands are wide open to work with even those who sought to destroy us. I have offended no one, but those who feel offended by our existence and loyalty to progressive ideals should forgive us.”

The former commissioner in Lagos state, ex-governor of Osun state, and immediate past minister for Interior and once-upon-a-time number two man in the political family of President Bola Tinubu posted the statement on his social media page, today, June 8, 2023.
