TELL US WHAT IT IS LIKE BEING AN EMPLOYEE AND EMPLOYER AT THE SAME TIME?
The businesses are so different that they do not clash or collide with each other. Besides it’s all about prioritising. I’m very good at multi tasking and that has helped a lot.

YOU APPEAR UNFAZED BY THE CHALLENGES
Challenges are there to be conquered; if you are afraid of challenges then you will not progress far in life.  One of my greatest talents is my ability to quickly conquer challenges, no matter how difficult they may be and obtain results I desire.

DON’T YOU SEE YOUR CONTINUOS EMPLOMENT WITH NSL MORE OF AN HINDRANCE TO THE GROWTH OF FK MANAGEMEN?
No; everything will come good in its own time. Like I said the businesses are completely different. Two different industries so there’s no conflict of interests.

WHAT EXACTLY ARE THE KEY SERVICES OFFERED BY F.K MANAGEMENT?
Right now we are concentrating on pure artiste management. Developing and advancing the artistes career. Liaising with agents, promoters, record companies, lawyers and accountants. That way the artiste is free to concentrate on creating, recording and performing. Of course we have bigger plans for the future but till then.

HOW MANY OF THESE OPPORTUNITIES HAVE YOU BEEN ABLE TO OPTIMISED SINCE YOU STARTED?
As much as I have wanted so far.

WHEN DO YOU SEE THE COMPANY FULLY OPERATIONAL OR IS IT ALREADY?
It is fully operational already.

FUNKE KUTI AND THE CELEBRATED E.F.C.C CASE – HOW FAR WITH THE ISSUE?
Like I said then there was never any case against my person Funke Kuti. The case is still in court and it’s between my company and the so called person that went to EFCC.

IF YOU EVENTUALLY LEAVE NSL PLC WHAT ARE THE THINGS YOU WILL MISS?
The people and the camaraderie at the place. The office is not the typical everyday office. We all work together like one big happy family. You don’t get that in a lot of places.

HOW IS MADE-YOUR SON?
Very well thank you

WANT TO SHARE THE JOY OF BEING HIS MOTHER?
It is always a joy to watch your child grow and progress in life. I am so proud of him. He has grown into a perfect young gentleman. I could just sit and stare at him all day long. He is much taller than me now and doesn’t stop reminding me about it.

DO YOU MISS MATRIMONY?
Not anymore. I used to, especially for the companionship but I am very used to my independence now.

WHAT PART OF YOUR LIFE DO YOU CRINGE ABOUT READING ON THE PAGES OF THE NEWS PAPER?
None; I stopped reading a lot of the stories long time ago. Sometimes they are so distorted and are so far removed from the real me. A lot of stories are written just to sell papers, so why waste my time reading what is not true.

Funke well and healthy, working hard, living life and helping others less fortunate is what I look forward to always.

Where you are does not determine where you can go. It doesn’t matter if you are down and out, rich or poor, falling or failing right now. It won’t make a difference in the future. There are countless rags to riches stories to back this up. If you have the drive and the talent you can go anywhere and achieve your dreams. You create your own limitations and horizons.
