It is an open secret that there is strong infighting among leaders of the Ogun state chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
SocietyNow.Ng, however, learned that despite this, they have all agreed to passionately work towards the actualization of the presidential ambition of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Information at hand revealed that Governor Dapo Abiodun was the catalyst.
According to inside information, Tinubu met with Governor Abiodun and his predecessor Senator Ibikunle Amosun – the two political leaders with the most magnified fight – to resolve their conflict and fashion how they could work together.
“But Abiodun insisted he can’t work with Amosun. He insisted it won’t end well despite Asiwaju pointing out that he is leaving him – and other stakeholders – with no choice but to allow Amosun to do whatever he deems fit to protest his own interest and cater to his supporters as long it doesn’t affect the higher objective of APC retaining the presidency. SocietyNow.Ng gathered that this was the agreement that was struck with all warring APC leaders in Ogun state based on the premise that Abiodun, who is seeking a second term in office, has chosen how to shape his political fortune.
Abiodun after a protracted battle has taken firm control of the main APC structure in Ogun state with Amosun and his followers completely sidelined.
Other leaders, like former Governor Gbenga Daniel fought against the wishes of Abiodun to carve out stakes in the 2023 election.
Daniel is the Ogun East senatorial candidate of the APC in a development Abiodun’s loyalists hold tickets to the majority of nearly all the other elective positions at stake.
Insiders revealed that Abiodun’s winner takes all approach has thrown up an undercurrent of political intrigues birthing unlikely alliances in the Ogun APC to protect political interests ahead of the 2023 election.

Amosun is the adviser on contacts and mobilization (national) for the Tinubu presidential campaign while Abiodun is the coordinator in Ogun state.
