No matter how much power or influence is ascribed to you – always know your worth and act accordingly.

MC Oluomo, the Chairman of the Laos state chapter of the National Union of Road Transport Workers went against this golden rule of survival in recent times – and the result is the emergence of Mustapha Adekunle his replacement.

Adekunle famously known as Seego will take office as the new Chairman of the NURTW in Lagos state at the end of January 2023.

What went wrong:?

Insiders as part of the plot to ensure continuing dominance, the Transport Union boss whose real name is Musiliu Akinsanya convinced his main men, Seego and Kudety ( Sulaimon Ojoro), to back his becoming the next national president of the NURTW.

“The plan was that MC Oluomo would become the National President and Seego who is the current would take over as the Chairman of the Lagos state chapter which is considered the juiciest spot nationwide” sources disclosed.

But contrary to the agreement, the famous transport union boss reportedly started a clandestine move to put in place a structure that would keep in charge of the Lagos NURTW through a backdoor arrangement.

“MC Oluomo started a process to install his men as branch chairmen ahead of Seego becoming state chairmen. The move was decorated with claims of request for monetary returns.: according to those in the know.

Seego reportedly kicked against the anomaly that would have seen him “caged” as State chairman by taking the matter to “higher decision-makers” in the state.

MC Oluomo was ordered to stop the scheme to make his loyalists branch chairmen and immediately announce Seego as the new State Chairman.

The popular transport union boss reported snubbed the decision, with the handwriting of the most powerful person in the country on it, and went ahead to inaugurate some of the branch chairmen.

“The action reportedly infuriated state actors that gave his influence legitimacy and the fallout of his misstep, that allowed for an unsettling rumor about a supremacy fight to thrive within the Lagos NURTW and threatened the peace in the state, was the threat of major sanction that forced him to hastily announce Sego as the new chairman of the transport union in Lagos state,” according to insiders.
