Multiple sources confirm to societynow.ng that perceived loyalists of Governor Ibikunle Amosun are heartily smiling to the bank.

Societynow.ng learned these individuals just ripped the governor of Ogun state off millions of naira meant for mobilization of support for preferred aspirant Adekunle Akinlade in the cancelled All Progressives Congress gubernatorial primary.

Societynow.ng learned before the primary initially fixed for Sunday, September 30 2018, Governor Amosun held a meeting with his loyalists and gave them funds to mobilize party members to vote for his preferred aspirant.

After the exercise was shifted, the Governor reportedly doled out another mobilization fund to his loyalists to work for Akinlade on the new date, Tuesday, October 2 2018.

Societynow.ng learned faced with the possibility that the electoral panel sent by the National Working Committee to oversee the election appears about to shift the exercise, Amosun’s loyalists perfected a ploy to justify the double mobilization funds given to them.

“They started voting without the go-ahead of the electoral panel and started writing and posting the results” societynow.ng learned.

Insiders disclosed the voting was conducted without electoral materials from the NWC electoral panel and it was a one-sided affair.

Insiders disclosed the arrowheads of the plots have been gleefully bragging about their good fortune.

“They claim Amosun has never doled out that much to them, even during his own re-election” a source disclosed to societynow.ng.

Insiders disclosed the “loyalists” expect another round of mobilization from the governor when the party announces the new date for the APC gubernatorial primary election in Ogun state.

“They believe this is a good time to get as much as they can from the governor and they are leveraging hard on the opportunity to do it” societynow.ng learned.
