How Adebutu’s Wife, Adenike Is Relentlessly Pushing His Guber Ambition

One of those at the top of pushing the gubernatorial ambition of Ladi Adebutu as the next Governor of Ogun state is his wife, Adenike.

Yeye Adenike as she is fondly addressed by fans and supporters of her husband is unrelenting campaigning for her husband to be elected as the number one citizen of Ogun state.

Adenike’s husband, Ladi Adebutu is the gubernatorial candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

SocietyNow.Ng gathered that the PDP candidate’s wife is vigorously campaigning as much as her husband.

“She is engaging the women across all fronts, but with a focus on the market women” SocietyNow.Ng gathered.

Information available has it that in recent times Adebutu’s wife was at Shagamu where she met the market women and assured them and reassured of her husband’s promise of 33% women representation in his administration if elected.

She also took her campaign to Ogere where she reportedly met with different groups including the Hausa community and emphasized that security, healthcare, and good governance are key areas her husband would not be found wanting if elected.

SocietyNow.Ng gathered that included in her recent back-to-back campaigns are visits to Ijebu-Oe markets in the company of PDP House of Assembly candidate, Daisi Yusuf where at different points also used her husband’s electoral promises to canvass votes for him.

“She is as neck-deep in this campaign as much as her husband, engaging different groups across the state and not just a random fixture at the venue of her husband’s campaigns” SocietyNow.Ng gathered.

Those who should know disclosed that the PDP candidate’s wife appears to be increasing engagements with different stakeholders as the election nears.

Aside from Ladi Adebutu’s wife Adenike, his son Adebukola has also thrown himself into the campaign.

Adebukola has kick-started rallies to galvanize the youths to his father’s side in the race to determine the next governor of Ogun state.

The Governorship election is fixed for March 11, 2023.

Re-election-seeking Governor Dapo Abiodun of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Ladi Adebutu of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), and Biyi Otegbeye of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) are considered the major contenders in the Ogun state gubernatorial contest.
