High Chief Ogundokun Gives Funky Traditional Ruler ‘’Oluwo” Abdulrasheed Akanbi ‘’Bloody Nose’’ Ahead Tomorrow’s Eid-Il- Kabir Prayer

Except the funky traditional ruler of Iwo, Oba Abdularasjeed Akanbi wants to be slammed with contempt of court – he dares not attempt to his regular antic at tomorrow’s Eid-Il Kabir prayer.

Emerging details have it that a court order has barred Oba Akanbi from leading tomorrows Eid-Il- Kabir festival or any other Muslim prayers including Juma’t and Eid Il Fitri for now.

The order was handed down by Justice A.O Ayoola of the Osun State High Court, Osogbo judicial division yesterday (Friday).

The order came in the form of an Interim Injunction that stays in place pending the determination of a motion on Notice filed on the matter regarding the removal of Chief Ogundokun as the Basorun of Iwo Land.

In the suit with case number HOS/M.72/19 Ogundokun had applied for motion Ex-parte against the Oluwo of Iwo and the registered trustees of Iwo Central Mosque, asking the court to restrain Oba Akanbi from presiding over Muslim based services in Iwo Land.

This is against the background of the Oluwo’s penchant for ‘’taking over’’ the role of the designated religious leader in charge of such services.
