Babatunde Fowler has been bruised and bloodied in the fight to retain his seat as the Executive Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service.

His image has been battered with allegations of corruption via investigation of his agency by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission and recently incompetence through a query from the presidency.

Societynow.ng learned in the face of all this, Fowler has chosen to soldier.

This is even as the latest shots against him unmasked Abba Kyari the Chief of Staff and immensely powerful Alter Ego of President Muhammadu Buhari as having a hand in the raging plot.

Insiders disclosed that Fowler has chosen to fight for re-appointment as FIRS Boss ( his term expired at the weekend ) but in a ”re conciliatory” manner.

‘’Fowler is working on appeasements. He is making and getting his people to make peace overtures to Kyari and other’s, including his leader Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’’ societynow.ng learned.

Sources claim though the forces against him are ‘’mighty’’ and ‘’deeply influential’’ there is a good chance Fowler would survive the storm based on the path of ‘’peace’’ he has chosen.
