Insiders insist all is not well between Governor of Delta state Governor- Emmanuel Uduaghan and David Edevie- a strong supporter of his jailed predecessor and political godfather, Mr James Ibori.

Findings by societynowng.com revealed the relationship between them has soured to the extent that Edevie, a former commissioner for Finance in the state and face of Ibori in major transactions now sidelined in politics of the state.

Sources claimed that the situation is such that Edevie a former celebrated figure in Delta politics now operates from afar.

He is said to spend the bulk of his time in Lagos- choosing hotel located on Ozumba Mbadiwe, Radission as his destination spot.

Insiders revealed that the differences that saw Edevie lose relevance have roots in fight for influence laced with Ego.

All through the period powerful politician serving jail term abroad for corrupt enrichment- James Ibori was trying to evade his fate, Edevie was one of his points men that attempted to use closeness to him to wrest control of political might in Delta state.

But incumbent Governor Uduaghan had taken him headlong- mercilessly resting the move to the point of ‘sacking’ him from the state.

Uduaghan’s action is tagged fallout of what might befall him, if he losses control of political power in the absence of Ibori.

Sources confirmed that this development though being carefully managed- has sparked a simmering political war underground in the state.
