It is now crystal clear – the All Progressives Congress in Ogun state goes into the general election with a divided house.

The main points of crisis are the senatorial election of Governor Ibikunle Amosun and the election to determine who the next Governor of Ogun state.

Outgoing governor Amosun is intensely against his party man and gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Dapo Abiodun to succeed him.

The governor is backing the gubernatorial flag bearer of the rival Allied People’s Movement (APM).

Amosun’s influence and political clout, within and outside, his party have been heavily dented in his raging opposition to his party’s gubernatorial candidate.

Council chairmen openly supporting the APC gubernatorial candidate in Ogun state – and providing much-needed grass root drive – have started losing their seats.

‘’The APC condemns in totality, this intolerant, illegal and provocative act by governor Amosun…’’ Tunde Oladunjoye, publicity secretary of the caretaker committee in Ogun state stated in reaction to the development and alleged plot by the governor to go after other loyalists of Abiodun currently employed by the Ogun state government.
