Gov Ambode Beefs Up Security Around Immediate Family

Governor of Lagos state, Akinwunmi Ambode has doubled security around his immediate family.

Sources disclose this development came to be after re-election seeking Ambode failed to retain the ticket of the All Progressives Congress in Lagos state as party’s gubernatorial candidate.

The governor lost out to heavily backed Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

Sanwo-Olu, a former commissioner in Lagos state defeated Ambode in a predicted landslide victory via gubernatorial primary held by the APC.

Sources disclosed Ambode who suffered great abuse and heavy criticisms about his performance as state administrator and politician ahead the primary has now doubled security around his immediate family.

“A clear testimony of this is the fact that his children now go to school and related places with doubled security team” societynow.ng learned.

Insiders disclosed the Governor has taken the precaution to prevent attempts at him by extreme individuals who might be emboldened by his perceived loss of face to make “unbecoming attempts at him or those dear to him”.

In a clear departure from when he assumed office, the Governor is generally perceived as not the most popular man in Lagos at present.
