Gbenga Daniel, Olusegun Obansanjo’s Reconciliation Dims Solomon Olamilekan Yayi’s Chances Of Succeeding Gov Ibikunle Amosun

The reconciliation of major factors in the politics of Ogun state former governor Gbenga Daniel and ex president Olusegun Obasanjo does not bode well for the gubernatorial ambition of Senator Olamilekan Solomon.

The Senator from Lagos state is passionately campaigning underground to become the next governor of Ogun state.

Though in the same political party (All Progressives Congress), the man he wishes to succeed Governor Ibikunle Amosun is keenly against his move.

Same for former President Olusegun Obasanjo , who claims not to belong to any political party but is said to have sympathy for the APC.

Ex President Olusegun Obasanjo is identified as one of the major backers of Governor Ibikunle Amosun – with strong input in his decisions.

His reconciliation with Ex Governor Gbenga Daniel pulls the rug on moves by gubernatorial aspirant Olamilekan Solomon to corner the support of the former state helmsman in attempt to battle the joint influences of Obasanjo and Amosun against him.

Former governor Gbenga Daniel is wields a major structure in the politics of Ogun state.

‘’Daniel is a known respecter of age and seniority, it is given the reconciliation with Obasanjo would see him backing the former president choice for the next governor of Ogun state as part of the peace process’’ a source stated.

Obasanjo who just celebrated his 80th birthday is said to be against the ambition of the politician widely known as Yayi because of his pedigree and who is main backer is believed to be.
