Gbenga Daniel Scores Win In First Task As Senator

Former Governor of Ogun State, Otunba Gbenga Daniel has revealed his first task as a Senator.

And he scored a win according to revelation available to SocietyNow.Ng

The Senator representing Ogun East disclosed that “At plenary today, I raised a motion for an urgent federal government intervention in the recurring flood disasters in Sagamu and Ijebu Areas of Ogun East Senatorial district as well as in other communities across the country.”

And added that “Sen Sadiq Umar (Kwara North) joined me by drawing attention to Edu and Patigi Areas of Kwara North Senatorial district. On Tuesday 11th of April, 2023, a 14-year-old student of Agbele Community High School was swept away in Sagamu with many others injured and properties worth millions of Naira destroyed.”

Daniel did his first task in the Senate on July 5, 2023.

While nothing that the “the Nigerian Meteorological Agency  (NiMET) is doing well in forecasting such occurrences”. the politician popular branded OGD (acronym for Otunba Gbenga Daniel) by supporters and associates, pointed out that ” but these efforts do not amount to much if other relevant agencies of government fail to be proactive in averting them and providing speedy support when necessary.”

 Disclosing the win recorded in the move, the 76 years old disclosed “the Senate acceded to my motion by directing relevant agencies and departments to act decisively.” 

Daniel who secured an historic win to become Senator pledged that “I will continue to follow up to ensure prompt compliance.”
